When Dough Zone took over the Mediterian Kitchen spot at Renton Landing they wanted to quickly reopen, on a budget, but still amplifying their brand to the same standard. The project took place in two phases, one the quick remodel and reopening of the existing restaurant space, and two adding additional space next door that was previously vacant.
We planned the design with the finished larger restaurant in mind, making it easy to construct the vacant space while the restaurant was open. Then it was simply a matter of opening up the connecting wall to reveal the finished restaurant.
The design made use of the previous restaurant’s ‘bones’ addressing mainly surfaces and decoration.
